Is my baby getting enough Vitamin A?

Sometimes when your toddler only eats half a carrot stick, you might worry that they are not getting vitamin A. Some of the foods  that are rich in Vitamin A include sweet potatoes, carrots, kale and any other green leafy vegetables.

Toddlers can be very picky about what they are willing to eat, but in most cases, a variety of foods even in small portions goes a long way towards fulfilling their needs. Just remember your toddler needs the micronutrients but in different quantities for growth and development.

Some picky toddlers would rather use their food for finger-painting than for eating. In many areas of the world, vitamin A intakes are below recommended daily levels due to limited and seasonal availability of foods rich in retinol or carotene, lack of nutritional awareness or inappropriate dietary choices.
